6What is the difference between IUI and IVF?

The basic difference between IUI and IVF can be attributed to the location of fertilization. In IUI, the treated and washed male partner’s or donor’s sperm is injected into the women during ovulation. Whereas in IVF the fertilization is conducted outside the body in a controlled environment and after five days of fertilization, the embryo is transferred to female partner’s uterus. Our specialist doctors associated with IUI treatment in Pune offer IUI for patients with unexplained infertility, male with sperm issues and female with cervical mucus medical conditions. As IVF is a more advanced procedure, it is attempted only in the event of repeated failures of IUI.
