According to studies, at least one out of every nine couples have difficulty conceiving normally, which is frequently attributed to infertility
IVF is one of many options available to such couples. While your odds of conceiving are entirely dependent on your circumstances, there are a few things you may do to increase your chances.
The following is a three-part list of dos and don’ts: Pre-cycle, in-cycle, and after-cycle
1) Pre-cycle: • Your motto should be to maintain good health!
- Always eat a well-balanced and nutritious diet that includes fruits, nuts, and leafy greens.
- Strive to achieve a healthy weight. A BMI of moreover 30 may harm your cycle.
- Exercise regularly but in a modest manner.
- Talk to your doctor about whether or not you need to take any vitamin supplements or other drugs.
- Don’t smoke
- Avoid alcohol or the at least try to cut your alcohol intake to a bare minimum
- Don’t take any stress and meditate daily to stay positive from start to finish
- Avoid caffeine or limit yourself to one or two caffeinated beverages per day
2) Throughout the cycle: • The pursuit of health continues with a well-balanced diet.
- Make sure you receive at least eight hours of sleep each night.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fluids.
- The prohibition on smoking and consuming alcoholic beverages remain in place (For both male and female)
- The reduction in caffeine consumption to one or two cups per day has the same effect.
- Consult your doctor or RE before using any medicine, including over-the-counter medications.
- During therapy, avoid foods high in mercury, such as fish, as they can be dangerous.
- Avoid exposing yourself or your partner to excessive heat or radiation, as this can diminish fertility.
- Continue to exercise in moderation.
- Drink plenty of fluids if you have OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome). Three to four liters of water each day can help prevent OHSS.
- Talk to your doctor about it.
3) After the cycle, continue to eat wisely and stay healthy.
- Try to have a calm demeanor and a low level of stress. Exercise, Yoga, and medication may be beneficial.
- Eat only fresh, home-cooked food and avoid food that has been sitting out for more than 12 hours.
- Do not lift big weights or put yourself under physical stress.
- Get enough sleep
- Get plenty of water.
- Maintain a positive attitude!
You may not be able to change the outcome, but you can help the process along by following these few tips to ensure a successful treatment.
